I picked up Robin and it was a very cold night, snow was on the Buffalo Bills Hawaiian Shirt Blue Tropical Leaves All Over Print NFL Hawaiian Shirt , the streets were empty of cars and people… as we set-out to find the Christmas tree. We spotted a lot, I did an illegal u-turn in my VW bug and drove up to the empty Christmas tree parking lot. The owner of the Christmas tree lot had abandoned the place and the fence gates were wide open. So we parked the car, and spent the next 30 minutes sorting through trees. Robin, was in the moment and we must have looked over at least thirty trees left behind for our pickings. I was coaching her in consideration how big of a Christmas tree we could actually fit into a VW Bug. We finally settled on a smaller Christmas tree that was propped up on a wooden stand and looked a little weak in the branch department, but not quite Charlie Brown style. I picked up the tree and moved it over to the VW bug, we had to drop the back seats, and aligned the tree between the two front seats…hey it smelled great in the car.

Since many households would hold parties during these two evenings, they may not concentrate on their jobs as they do in the Disney Mickey Mouse St Patrick’s Day T Shirt time. Therefore, the company would rather let their employees stay at home to do some shopping and preparation than stay in the office to think something else not related to work. There has a policy stating that Christmas Eve is a holiday in employee handbook or employment agreement or contract. It might state that employees receive paid time off or premium pay for working on the holiday. For those retail business workers who are more busier during these two days, they may arrange other time to have a rest, while those who have these two days off and get paid would not have this advantage. They probably arrange another two holidays for working days or do not compensate overtime work. For those companies who do not need to deal with customers, if multiple employees ask for the time off, the company could accommodate such requests.
