I’m 14 (female) and I’ve kinda been wondering about it but too afraid to ask… I only see girls going by she they or Official Thrashin’ Hot Reckless Totally Insane Vintage t shirt, never someone biologically male. and most of the time they are obviously girls and ngl it kinda feels like a way of saying “I’m not like other girls, I’m different and cool so I get an extra/different pronoun” and most of the Official Thrashin’ Hot Reckless Totally Insane Vintage t shirt their reasoning seems to basically be that they feel above other girls. Like all of the people I know who go by they/them pronouns seem obviously female. I honestly don’t understand what gender is supposed to be exactly if it isn’t biological. Like I grew up only playing with my hotwheels collection (I have hundreds of them now), and I wore mostly clothes from the boys aisle, but I am still definitley a girl, so gender can’t be interests or way of dressing. I know kids of all genders (particularly girls and “nonbinary” people) who have basically the same type of personality as me, same way of talking, sense of humor, etc, so gender can’t be personality. But then some people say you can be trans but not have body dysphoria, so it isn’t just feeling in the Official Thrashin’ Hot Reckless Totally Insane Vintage t shirt. And some people say it’s just not wanting to be associated with stereotypes, which means its made up and just enforces stereotypes. I don’t want to sound offensive but I really don’t understand it.
